Common questions

How do I cancel my subscription?

Cancel anytime in iOS Settings:

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone.
  2. Tap your Apple ID at the top.
  3. Tap Subscriptions.
  4. Find Puff Counter and tap Cancel Subscription.

You’ll keep access until the end of your current billing period.

How do I restore a purchase on a new device?

  1. Open Puff Counter on the new device.
  2. Go to Settings in the app.
  3. Tap Restore purchases.
  4. Sign in with the Apple ID you used to subscribe (if prompted).

Your Pro access will reactivate within a few seconds.

How does the 3-day free trial work?

When you start the weekly subscription, the first 3 days are free. You can cancel anytime during those 3 days at no charge (see above). If you don’t cancel, you’ll be charged €1.49 per week starting on day 4. Each user gets one free trial.

How does the reduction plan work?

You set your starting daily puff count, your goal (reduce to a target number, or quit completely), and your timeline. We build a plan that lowers your daily limit gradually over the weeks, week by week. You can adjust the plan anytime in Settings → Your Plan.

How do I reset my plan and start over?

In the app, go to Settings → Reset all progress. This permanently deletes all your puff logs, plan data, and statistics, and takes you back through onboarding. This action cannot be undone.

My daily reminder notification isn’t firing

  1. Make sure notifications are enabled for Puff Counter in iOS Settings → Notifications → Puff Counter → toggle Allow Notifications on.
  2. In the app, go to Settings and check that Daily reminder is toggled on.
  3. The reminder fires once per day at 9pm local time. Make sure your iPhone’s time zone is correct.

I uninstalled and reinstalled — where’s my data?

Puff Counter stores all your data on your device only (we don’t operate servers that hold your personal info — see our Privacy Policy below). Uninstalling the app permanently deletes your local data. We can’t restore it.

If you want to keep your subscription across reinstalls, that part is tied to your Apple ID and will restore automatically. Just tap Settings → Restore purchases after reinstalling.

What data does the app collect?

Your puff logs, plan, and weekly spend stay on your device. We use anonymous product analytics (PostHog) to understand which features users engage with — no accounts, no emails, no advertising IDs, no cross-app tracking. Subscriptions are managed by RevenueCat. Full details in our Privacy Policy.
